New Barnard Park Plan and Friends Forum

Join us at the Friends Forum – let’s get the job done in Barnard Park

After an extensive consultation last year, the Council is releasing details of its new masterplan for Barnard Park. The proposals will be online from Monday October 5 at www.islington.gov.uk/barnardpark. The Council will introduce a single plan for major park improvements, following public comment on four options.

Two workshops are planned to view the proposals:

* The Friends are hosting a forum on Thursday 15 October, 7:30 – 9pm at Church on the Corner, Barnsbury Road and Copenhagen Street, N1

* There will also be a Council workshop Monday 12 October, 3 – 7pm at the Adventure Playground by the park’s Charlotte Terrace entrance, N1

The design team will be on hand at both sessions to answer questions on the new plan on display.

There will be a four week period for comments on the masterplan, running from 5 October until 31 October. Comments can be made online or via paper forms available at both meetings.

Participation in this process is important. Attend our forum, view the plans and fill in a comment form. Local input is needed to get it right.

Barnard Park desperately needs investment. There are funds to improve the park. It’s time to stop talking about it, build on years of consultation and finally improve a neglected but well loved park.
