This Sunday June 7 will be a super day for kids on the second pop-up event in Barnard Park with free activities for the family 11-4pm. Here is what’s in store on our Play, Performance, Pianos and Petanque Sunday.
Mrs H and the Singalong Band will kick off at 11am with good times music and puppetry in the Adventure Playground amphitheatre. Then from 12:30pm two play zones open. Zone 1: enjoy high wires, walks and thrills in the Adventure Playground outdoor space – strictly for ages 6-13. Children under 9 must be with an adult. Zone 2: offers fun for children of all ages in the park with bouncy castles, face painting, t-shirt making and other activities.
There will be more music. Local artists will paint a pair of pianos for a live keyboard jam organised by Oxjam at 3pm. Come watch it happen. And on the pitch, there will be an international petanque (French boules!) tournament hosted by the Londonaise for everyone to watch. The Barnard Park pop-up season finishes on June 14 with a third and final park party.
So come join us in the park. Have a coffee and cake at the Friends Café. Or try paella from La Churreria.
